Takspa has a very long organizational experience of trekking and expeditions throughout the Himalayan ; what has been “loaded on the site” is only a fragment of the experience accumulated up to today, the possibilities are really many and the paths often arise from the needs and exploration desires of each one. So … let’s hear each other!
India’s Himalaiana consists of an intricate set of areas distinguished by climatic, ethnic and cultural elements. The northernmost regions in winter experience temperatures that in extreme points become arctic; think that in the village of Dras, near the Zojla pass between Kashmir and Ladakh, it is over -50 ° C! Some areas remain completely isolated from the rest of the world because of the snow; Padum, the largest village in Zanskar, still today (2016) can be reached by mechanical means sometimes even for only 4 months a year due to the snow falls on the Passo del Pensi and for the winter and spring avalanches in the narrow valley of Suru – this situation will remain so until the road that connects the region to Leh in Ladakh has not been completed.
